HISTORY
Neuco can trace its roots back to 1907, when John M. Neustadt started his own business selling hay, coal and grain on the west side of Chicago. As markets evolved, the business changed to coal sales and delivery in the 1920's and 1930's.
After the Great Depression and World War II, foreseeing the demise of the coal industry for residential heating, the Neustadt Company diversified into the heating installation and fuel oil business. At its prime, Neustadt Fuel and Supply had a fleet of 10 oil delivery trucks servicing the west side of Chicago.
By the 1960's, natural gas was taking over more and more of the oil business. It was cheaper, cleaner and easier to get. In a bold move, Neustadt Fuel became Neuco, Inc., a distributor of automatic controls for heating. Way back then, Neuco carried only one product line - General Controls. Today, Neuco stocks over 275 of the top HVAC/R controls manufacturers, including Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Siemens and Danfoss.
In 2019, Neuco relocated all business operations from Downers Grove, IL to a new 145,000 square foot facility in Bolingbrook, IL. With three times the space as the previous location, Neuco's receiving, inventory management and shipping capabilities have undergone extensive improvements, all designed to enhance supplier-customer relationships.
Amid the evolutions of the company from 1907 to today, one thing has always been the same: Neuco's commitment to customer service and satisfaction is second to none. Neuco has recognized the importance of being able to supply customers with product as quickly and efficiently as possible. Increasing warehouse space, creating innovative shipping programs and providing 24-hour online ordering, and other promotions and services have proven total customer focus.
Neuco has come a long way and looks forward to meeting (and exceeding) the expectations of customers for decades to come.
